Kimberly Thompson, CFRE, is Chief Advancement Officer at Star of Hope Mission, where she leads donor engagement, fundraising, marketing and communications. She builds relationships with individuals, foundations and businesses, aligning their passions with the mission’s goals.

Across more than 35 years in fundraising and nonprofit leadership, Kim has worked to connect donors’ core values with mission-driven opportunities, fostering generosity that changes the lives of the people an organization serves. Her previous roles include Vice President of Development and Marketing at ChoYeh Camp & Conference Center, Director of Development for the Southern Division of Young Life, Vice President of Development at Fuller Theological Seminary and Chief Development Officer at A21.

Kim lives in Houston with her husband, Judge John Thompson. They are actively involved in the lives of their five adult children and four grandchildren.
