Susana Deltoro

Susana Deltoro is Chief Executive Officer of the Houston Recovery Center and has been a foundational leader at HRC since HRC opened its doors in 2013.
With a background in nonprofit operations and clinical counseling, she was instrumental in building the agency’s clinical department from the ground up. As one of the original team members, she helped develop HRC’s recovery programming, which has provided long-term, stabilizing support to individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions in Houston’s most underserved communities.
Susana has led and managed multiple programs across the agency, earning a reputation for operational excellence and compassionate leadership. Across her leadership roles at HRC, Susana has overseen strategic planning, program development, staff training, compliance, quality improvement and interagency collaboration. Her leadership has helped HRC establish a trauma-informed, client-centered culture across all levels of care.
Beyond her role at HRC, Susana is a committed community leader. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and is dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas.
